ThinkGoodMobility Challenge: Modular Electric Vehicle
Jacopo Runchi – Mechanical Engineering @ Università degli Studi di Bergamo (IT)
It is all about efficiency
Statistics show that in Europe moving cars are not always used to their full potential. On average each car carries only two passengers. This means there are more cars on the road than necessary. Obviously this creates a negative impact on fuel consumption and emissions.
Modular vehicle: 2 or 4 wheels?
Jacopo’s solution is a completely autonomous, modular 2-wheel electric vehicle that can be used efficiently for everyday activities. Whenever there is a need to accommodate more people, this vehicle can connect to another 2-wheel module creating a complete 4-wheel vehicle, delivering the perfect fit for journeys with family or friends.
